Carson Cooper

- Carson has been in love with music since she laid ears on it ! At age 4 she began studying classical
piano and went on to earn the highest standing in R.C.M. in piano and theory.
She soon learned she had a love for singing and performing.
As a child she was chosen to attend St.Thomas Aquinas Centre For The Arts where she studied
singing,acting and dancing and then performed at Hamilton Place at the age of 9.
Carson has privately trained extensively in opera,rock,pop,jazz and other genres of voice. As a
teen she competed in a multitude of vocal,piano and band competitions both locally and regionally
earning the highest standing in all categories.
Carson studied dance,gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics earning high marks in competitive in
regional meets and competitions.
She went on to Major in Jazz voice at Mohawk College in the Applied Music Program. She then
continued her studies by Majoring in Classical Voice At Redeemer University.
Having a love of teaching children of all ages she then became a licensed Kindermusik Instructor.
Carson has worked extensively with a number of well known local bands. She has recorded on multiple albums as well as
written harmonies and arrangements for them.
She was chosen as Rogers' Music Fest Official "Vocal Coach of the Year" as well as asked to be a guest judge
for McMaster University's "Idol" competition for 2 years running.
She was thrilled to be a part of London England's famous "West End Stars In Concert" Tour where Peter Karrie, London's
"Phantom" and "Jean Val Jean" came to Canada needing orchestration for the children's choir.
Carson has recorded on and written commercials for radio as well as written and directed a multitude of stage plays for
children.
She was the Head of Music and guest musical instructor for Theatre Ancaster on a number of their youth programs as well
as being asked to guest lecture as a vocal coach for high schools in Hamilton, Brantford and Cambridge.
Carson is also the in-house vocal coach for Hive Studios Recording Studio in Hamilton working with a variety of artists
and bands to develop their best voice.
When she isn't teaching at Theatre Street or helping recording artists at Hive,Carson has performed with bands such
as The Eric Summers Band and The Dave Ptolemy Band
She has been teaching in Ancaster and surrounding areas for more than fifteen years and is thrilled that at Theatre
Street Music every day she gets to combine her two great passions: Teaching & The Performing Arts.
